Peter Watson founded Peter Watson Investments in 1991. He specializes in creating comprehensive, customized, wealth management strategies for his clients. Peter has extensive experience providing guidance and solutions for retirees and those about to retire. His counselling focuses on helping his clients avoid common financial mistakes, preserve their assets, increase their income, and reduce their income taxes. Peter truly cares about his clients and in return they, through an independent survey, have rated Peter Watson Investments 4.9/ 5 in trustworthiness. He has been voted “Best Financial Planner” 12 times by readers of the Oakville Beaver. In 1992 Peter started writing his column Dollars and Sense which appears in the Thursday edition of the Oakville Beaver. In 2008 he was inducted into the Sheridan College Business School Hall of Fame. Peter is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI); holds the Canadian Investment Manager(CIM) designation; and is both a Registered Financial Planner (RFP) and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). Peter completed his MBA at the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University. Peter’s speaking engagements include Sheridan College Convocation as Keynote Speaker, Estate Planning Counsel of Halton, and The Financial Planning Annual Conference. Jennifer Watson is Managing Partner at Watson Investments. Jennifer is a Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Investment Manager, and Portfolio Manager with an MBA from Ivey Business School. Credibility, expertise, and trust are the three qualities Jennifer believes clients and potential clients expect from wealth managers. Supported by a professional team, she delivers on her beliefs to build long-term relationships and provide peace of mind to her growing client base. Her industry certifications, combined with her ease of conversation and ability to connect with people, gives clients a clear sense of being in the right place at the right time. Networking and leadership come naturally to Jennifer. She is a member of Estate Planners' Council of Halton, CEO Global Group, The Oakville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, The Chamber Board Finance Committee, and is a judge for the Oakville Awards for Business Excellence. Additionally, she is part of an Investment Study Group of industry peers. Jennifer is an industry expert writer and speaker. In the summer she gets together with friends and family at the family cottage in northern Ontario and tackles the ski slopes in Collingwood in the winter. Her sense of adventure has taken her around the world, including riding camels through the Sahara Desert, scuba diving in Thailand and Indonesia, and surfing with her dad.

David looks to simplify our client’s lives, understanding that offering them peace of mind and sound guidance through all walks of life is invaluable. David recognizes that everyone’s life and financial situations are different, and being able to provide clear, effective, and appropriate solutions tailored to each client’s unique circumstances is something that David has excelled at and continues to work upon. Prior to joining Watson Investments, David worked at one of the major Canadian banks and various financial planning firms. Over that period, he gained exposure to a multitude of differing circumstances, from Business Owners to Doctors and Executives, which now allows him to examine situations from a number of different perspectives. David holds his Certified Financial Planner (CFP^®) Designation and Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) Designation along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Finance), and a Diploma in Financial Planning. Some of the industry courses David has taken include Life License Qualification Program (LLQP), Derivatives Fundamentals and Options Licensing Course. Outside of the office, David enjoys being physically active. You can often find him working out in the local YMCA, exploring nearby trails, or strolling the streets of Downtown Oakville with his dog, Winnie. When he is not busy exploring his own backyard, David also enjoys travelling to far-off destinations and spending time with family and friends. Kathryn blends her robust knowledge of the financial services industry, economics, and market conditions with her organizational chops and work ethic to help clients reach their financial goals. Her client-centered vision of financial success enables her to cultivate a trusting client experience.  She has a keen eye for risk and performance expectations and is dedicated to providing holistic wealth management strategies that help clients make smart decisions about their money. She believes that the client-advisor relationship is built on trust.  One way she seeks to earn trust is to practice a disciplined follow through. The client’s priorities are always first. Before joining Watson Investments, she spent 17 years in the financial services industry at a large Canadian bank. She is excited to bring her high level of professionalism and experience to Watson Investments. Kathryn is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). She believes in investing in people. She has mentored young women coming into the industry and plans to continue helping future leaders of tomorrow. Outside of the office Kathryn enjoys fitness, tennis, camping, travel, spending time with family and friends, and the Buffalo Bills.

Jake has worked with a diverse range of clients, from high-net-worth individuals and families to small business owners and retirees. He has a keen ability to understand his clients' unique needs and develop customized financial plans that align with their goals and risk tolerance. Jake is a firm believer in ongoing education and stays up-to-date with the latest financial trends and industry developments. He continues to expand his knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development. Prior to joining Watson Investments, Jake worked at a major Canadian bank for five years. He is committed to delivering the highest standard of service and is dedicated to helping clients achieve their financial objectives. In his free time, Jake likes to stay active by playing sports such as golf, tennis and hockey. He also enjoys visiting his cottage and spending time with his family, taking advantage of all the outdoor activities that the lake has to offer.

With a background in banking and finance, Marina was one of the original staff members when Peter Watson Investments opened their doors in 1991. After years of service Marina took a hiatus to raise her family. She has been back in the office since 2013 putting her industry knowledge to work assisting the financial planners and client services. Marina loves that she recognizes many client names from the early years of the firm that are still loyal and happy clients of Peter Watson Investments. Her attention to detail, caring nature, and charming New Zealand accent, make her a delight to work with.

With over 10 years of marketing experience, Bernadette brings a wealth of experience stemming from brand management, social media and e-marketing campaigns and event coordination. She believes that success in brand management is a balanced act between interpreting data and keeping up with ever-evolving marketing trends. With a creative eye, Bernadette is passionate about out-of-the-box marketing strategies. Prior to joining the Watson Investments team, Bernadette played an integral part in the success of a bespoke cake studio. One of her roles as creative director proudly landed their work in multiple publications circulating both online and print across North America. As an analytical thinker and multi-tasking whiz, Bernadette believes one of the keys to a successful business is to have a strong foundation that starts with a well-organized office administration.

Mary has worked in the financial industry for over 20 years and has experience in areas of compliance, marketing, business development and client services. She is fully licensed and joined the Watson team in 2023. Mary enjoys using her knowledge to help clients and advisors. Mary loves to travel, in fact she met her husband on a trip to Scotland.
